The Florida Attractions Association (FAA) proudly recognized three outstanding individuals during its 2026 Annual Conference in Tampa for their exceptional contributions to Florida's attractions industry and to the association.

Cindy Stavely Receives Outstanding Attraction Member of the Year

The FAA honored Cindy Stavely of the St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum with the 2026 Outstanding Attraction Member of the Year Award.

For decades, Stavely has been a respected leader in Florida's attractions industry, serving guests with excellence while mentoring colleagues and helping shape the next generation of industry professionals. Known by many as the "Queen of St. Augustine Attractions," she has built an extraordinary career across several of the city's premier attractions and has generously shared her knowledge and experience with countless others.

Her impact on the FAA has been equally significant through her service on the Board of Directors, her support of industry programs and events, and her role as an instructor in the FAA Leadership Academy. Her dedication, leadership, and friendship have left a lasting mark on both the association and the industry she serves.

Kristina Wilson Recognized as Associate Member of the Year

The 2026 Associate Member of the Year Award was presented to Kristina Wilson, founder of KEW Legal.

Wilson has distinguished herself through her unwavering commitment to supporting Florida's attractions industry beyond the traditional expectations of her profession. Through education, guidance, and proactive leadership, she has helped FAA members navigate complex legal issues, reduce risk, and create safer environments for guests and employees.

Her willingness to share her expertise and serve as a trusted advisor has made her a valued partner to attractions throughout Florida. Wilson's dedication to strengthening and protecting the industry exemplifies the spirit of service and professionalism that defines the award.

John Penney Honored with Chairman's Award

FAA Chairman Samantha Palmer presented the 2026 Chairman's Award to John Penney, founder of BlackDog Advertising.

Penney was recognized for his extraordinary leadership and commitment to the association through his work reimagining and rebuilding the FAA's member website, FloridaAttractions.org. What began as a technical project became a transformative effort to strengthen member engagement, improve communications, and enhance the association's ability to serve its members.

Contributing countless hours of creative energy, professional expertise, and strategic vision, Penney's work has helped position the FAA for future growth and success. His dedication reflects a deep passion for the association, its members, and Florida's attractions industry.

Celebrating Service and Leadership

"The success of the Florida Attractions Association is built on the talent, generosity, and dedication of individuals like Cindy, Kristina, and John," said 2025-26 FAA Chairman Samantha Palmer. "Each has made a lasting impact on our association and our industry through their leadership, service, and commitment to helping others succeed. We are proud to recognize their remarkable contributions."

The awards were presented during the Florida Attractions Association's 2026 Annual Conference, held May 31–June 3 in Tampa, Florida.
