2018 Florida Attractions Scholarship
Foundation Scholarship

In 2012, the Florida Attractions Association (FAA) announced the creation of the Florida Attractions Foundation (FAF). As a result of the generous support of our members, the FAF has awarded $19,000 in scholarships to 33 recipients. Now called the Florida Attractions Scholarship Foundation (FASF), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the new name emphasizes the purpose of the Foundation: to award financial support to post-secondary students studying in a hospitality-related field. The Foundation anticipates it will award a minimum of four, $1,000 scholarships in Spring 2018.  Recipients will be invited to attend the 2018 Annual Conference in Naples, June 10-13 to receive their scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded exclusively to employees of FAA member businesses and their dependents. Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution in Florida and entering their junior or senior year and completed a minimum of 12 credit hours in a hospitality-related field major.

The recipient must demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in Hospitality Management or related field. These include (but not necessarily limited to) attraction management, tourism marketing, museum studies, hospitality, sports management, entertainment management, event management, zoological/aquaria management, recreation/leisure management.
