As a part of its Conference Celebration Breakfast, the Florida Attractions Association recognizes outstanding members who go above and beyond in order to serve their fellow members and the tourism industry of Florida.

2016-2017 Outstanding Attraction Member of the Year - Jennifer Berthiaume, Lion Country Safari

This year, Chairman of the Board Scott Rose of the Florida Aquarium selected Jennifer for her selfless contributions of time and resources. Through her service on the FAA Board of Directors for 6 years and as Chair of the 2016 Host Committee, Jennifer has demonstrated her desire to give and to serve with the goal of exceeding the expectations of stakeholders. Through her participation in FAA Sales and Marketing Workshops and Annual Conference breakout session panels, she has willingly shared her successes and experiences with her fellow FAA members to support them with their professional development. Congratulations to Jennifer for this recognition!

2016-2017 Outstanding Associate Member of the Year - Nicole Dubinsky, Dippin' Dots

This year, Chairman of the Board Scott Rose of the Florida Aquarium selected Nicole Dubinsky for this honor. Even before the FAA’s ambassador program began this year, Nicole has served as a consummate ambassador for new members and has helped them to become engaged in membership. For over 5 years, she has been a part of the FAA family, sharing her enthusiasm for us and zeal with all who have had the privilege to know her. Her company, Dippin’ Dots, has defined itself as one of the Association’s most consistent sponsors, demonstrating the importance of giving back to an industry that is a primary retailer of its product. Congratulations Nicole!

2016-2017 Chairman's Award - Thom Stork (In Memoriam)

We lost a great man and a great leader earlier this year. Thom Stork passed away at the young age of 68 after a long battle with cancer.

Thom dedicated his career to the attraction industry and was also a steadfast promoter of tourism into Florida. As a two-time Chairman of this Association from 1991-1993, Thom was committed to supporting and advancing Florida attractions and the FAA. Thom truly believed that growth in tourism benefits all and that attractions are stronger working together in partnerships and alliances.

Thom was a committed and proud family man. He and his wife Donna cherished their two children, Christopher and Erica and their three grandchildren, Judah, Tajai and Imani. The FAA is proud to honor Thom's memory with this recognition.
